Job summary

Dollar Tree in Tequesta, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, support staff, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to sales floor while maintaining a presentable store.

The role supports opening/closing procedures, compliance with directives, and loss prevention, while promoting a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise and handle cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, stocked store and secure assets including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates in partnership with the Store Manager.
