Job summary

Family Dollar in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and staff. This part-time role offers opportunities to grow with a national retailer in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience managing retail or grocery store operations is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Demonstrated integrity and attention to detail in cash handling and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and manage stockroom to sales floor transfers.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.
• Maintain store cleanliness and promotional displays consistent with policies.
• Support the Store Manager in training and developing associates.
• Ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.
