Job summary

Dollar Tree in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, openings and closings, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.

The role requires strong communication, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy retail environment while training Store Associates and maintaining a safe, well-organized store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to train and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and loss prevention.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, and trash removed.
