Job summary

Dollar Tree in Naples, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team. The role entails assisting with merchandise organization, opening/closing duties, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience is preferred. The position requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow them
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and neatness
• Other duties as assigned
