Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. is seeking a Store Team Lead in Michigan. The role includes leading daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service to customers and donors, and maintaining merchandising standards.

The position entails cross-training across non-management retail duties, cash handling, and supporting staff development while upholding store policies. Training and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some managerial and retail sales experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Solid mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers and donors promptly.

• Must be fully cross trained in all non-management retail duties.
• Lead in daily store operations in the absence of other management.

The hourly wage for the Store Team Lead position is $15.00.

• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting and assisting customers and donors promptly.
• Assist in implementing and controlling store policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing accurate daily cash handling and banking procedures.
• Must be fully cross trained in all non-management retail job duties.
• Assume responsibilities of daily store operations in the absence of other management, including but not limited to cash control, employee relations, facility management, and customer relations.
• Adhere to established store hours, and check security of building upon opening and closing.
• To act in a leadership capacity demonstrating professional behavior and decision making, setting an example for all Goodwill employees.
• Maintain merchandising standards in stocking and re-sets, following sizing, categorizing and pricing guidelines. Maintain all backroom operating standards.
• Address and/or communicate customer and donor concerns to supervisors.
• Assist in training and development of staff.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Solid mathematical skills. Some managerial and retail sales experience preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License as well as reliable personal transportation (personal vehicle).
