Job summary

Goodwill NCW in Oshkosh, WI, seeks a capable team lead to support the Store Manager by guiding staff, coordinating donations, and managing daily retail operations. You’ll help with scheduling, opening/closing, and coaching to meet production and sales goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, time management, communication and problem solving. A high school diploma and 3+ years of leadership experience are preferred; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook is expected;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills and ability to work on multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• At least a basic level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
• Ability to travel to other locations as required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight, guidance and support to team members as directed by Store Manager.
• Drives results through proper handling and processing of all donations to meet production and sales goals.
• Utilizes reports and leads team members by assisting with training, coaching and developing skills to achieve results.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Effectively and efficiently manages a broad range of retail activities, including scheduling and opening/closing procedures, while ensuring completion of the leader checklist.
• Supports Goodwill NCW's mission through employment and training of people with different abilities.
• Supports recruitment by interviewing and selecting candidates aligned with the organization’s mission and values and ensures successful onboarding for all team members in partnership with Store Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Need From You

• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to other locations is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.

Work is performed primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.

Primary function requires sufficient physical ability to repetitively:

• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds.
• Reach (approximately 54 inches).
• Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch.
• Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.
• Verbally communicate to exchange information.
