Job summary

Goodwill NCW is seeking a Store Leader to oversee operations at the Stevens Point location. You will guide team members and leaders, manage donor intake, and ensure a customer-centric shopping experience while maintaining store standards.

As a leader, you will handle talent development, scheduling, payroll, and safety, and contribute to achieving sales and production goals through effective planning and communication.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization; ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • At least a basic level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel to other locations is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight, guidance, and support to team members and leaders as directed by Store Manager and Regional Manager.
  • Oversees the donation door to store floor process, ensuring proper stewardship of all donations and a customer-centric experience.
  • Assists in talent management including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and development to build a high performing team.
  • Assists in executing business strategies to ensure store meets or exceeds forecasted sales and production plans.
  • Executes and sustains department SOPs to maintain standards of store presentation, organization, safety, and policies.
  • Maintains regular presence in-store, engaging with team members and gathering feedback.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance, conducts audits, and promotes safe work practices.
  • Supports marketing, advertising, and community engagement efforts and drives performance metrics.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Providesoversight, guidance, and support to team membersand leadersas directed by the StoreManagerand RegionalManager.
  • Overseesthe donation door to store floorprocess, ensuring proper stewardship of all donations and creating a customer‑centric experience for our shoppers.
  • Assumes leadership in store operational aspects such astalent management;including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and development to build a high performing team and strong bench strengthas directed by the StoreManager.
  • Assists in executingbusiness strategies to ensure store is meeting or exceeding their forecasted sales and production plans. Responsible for assisting in the delivery of the financial and operationalgoals in assigned store, including people, sales, staffing, scheduling, payroll, store growth, expenses, mission integration, budgeting, and safety as assigned.
  • Assists in the execution and sustainment of department standard operating procedures to maintain standards of store presentation, organization, facility layout and maintenance, quality control, safety standards, and all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manages change through effective planning, communication, and coaching.
  • Maintains a consistent presence through the store, engaging and seeking feedback from team members.
  • Assistswith ensuring regulatory compliance, conducts facility and equipment audits, and promotes safe work practices aligned with safety standards.
  • Executes,at the direction of theStore Manager and Regional Manager,marketing, advertising, and communication strategies and works with community members on mission awareness and advancement.
  • Managesa broad range of retail activities, including scheduling,opening/closing procedures,production efficiency and volume,store cleanliness, store safetyand securityoperational procedures,anddrivingperformance metrics,while ensuring completion of the leader checklists and team communications.
  • Leads team through hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and development of team members to create a high performing team including cross training of skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
