Job summary

Goodwill NCW in La Crosse is hiring a Full Time Store Leader. You will oversee daily store operations, guide team members, and ensure efficient donation processing to meet production and sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes reports and leads team members by assisting with training and coaching to achieve results.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Manages scheduling, opening/closing procedures and leader checklist to ensure smooth operations.
• Supports Goodwill NCW’s mission through employment and training of people with different abilities.
• Participates in recruitment and onboarding in partnership with Store Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Effectively and efficiently manages a broad range of retail activities, including scheduling and opening/closing procedures, while ensuring completion of the leader checklist.
• Supports Goodwill NCW’s mission through employment and training of people with different abilities.
• Supports recruitment by interviewing and selecting candidates aligned with the organization’s mission and values and ensures successful onboarding for all team members in partnership with Store Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• At least a basic level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to other locations is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.

Work is performed primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.

Primary function requires sufficient physical ability to repetitively:

• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds.
• Reach (approximately 54 inches).
• Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch.
• Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.
• Verbally communicate to exchange information.
