Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Lawrence, NY location. The role includes assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and payroll-related tasks under the Store Manager guidance.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, experience in retail management preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas in a neat, well-stocked condition.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by all associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
