Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor for our Bourne store. This is a part-time, permanent role working 32 hours over 4 days, including some weekends on a rota.

You will support the store manager, deputise in their absence, and help train and supervise cashiers and the replenishment team on the shop floor. You’ll handle stock, pricing, displays and maintain excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail supervisory role or assisting store manager.
• Flexible to work weekends on rota.
• Ability to supervise and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in day-to-day operations.
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and replenishment team.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and pricing.
• Keep pricing accurate and maintain shop floor presentation.
• Deliver friendly customer service and handle inquiries.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 42 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Bourne Store.

The position is based on:

• 32 Hours over 4 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Cashing up duties as and when required
• Ensure pricing is correct.
