Job summary

Wegmans in New York is seeking an in-store Fulfillment Associate to support curbside pickup orders using our team app. You will communicate with customers, pick items, bag them, and stage orders for fast, accurate fulfillment in a busy grocery environment.

As an in-store shopper, you will utilize the latest technology to engage with customers through an app, shopping their orders and staging them for pickup. The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes standing and walking for up to 4 hours without a break, pushing a shopping cart, repetitive hand and arm movements, including using a computer, smart device and telephone. There is frequent reaching, including reaches above shoulder height, occasional to frequent bending, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5-20 pounds, with a maximum weight lifted of 45 pounds occasionally. May receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderately high, and trunk movement involves moderate to moderately high twisting, bending and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly indoors and involves exposure to cold (33° - 55°) and freezing (0° - 20°) temperatures. The work environment also involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather.
