Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring part-time Shift Leads for our store at 8202 University Ave, Lubbock, TX. You’ll deliver prompt, friendly service, help manage daily operations and support the Store Manager.

Previous cashier experience is preferred; minimum age varies by state. We offer daily pay, healthcare, a 401K plan, and opportunities for advancement from Shift Lead to Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires minimum 3 months of cash register experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns.
• Operating cash register and handling transactions.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Helping lead the team to exceed store performance goals.
• Performing other duties, including daily/monthly paperwork and training new employees.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience

• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
