Job summary

Meijer is seeking a security associate to protect people and assets across our stores. Responsibilities include hazard identification, surveillance, incident documentation, and cooperation with store leadership.

You will contribute to a safe shopping environment while supporting loss prevention programs. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months in security or 1 year of general work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect building exterior and parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conduct backroom and sales floor walking inspections.
• Review cashier exception reports and alarm activity.
• Conduct internal and shoplifting surveillance.
• Document incident histories and assist in litigation where required.
• Participate in apprehension of violators and support external theft cases.
• Test camera equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
