Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Security/Asset Protection team member to visually inspect facilities, conduct backroom and sales floor walkthroughs, and monitor theft activity. You will review reports and assist in investigations to protect customers and associates.

The role emphasizes safety, incident documentation, and coordination with store leadership. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of security experience (or 1 year of work experience).

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect building exterior and parking lot to identify hazards.
• Conduct walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Review cashier exception reports.
• Conduct internal theft surveillance and follow up on theft activity reports.
• Testify in court when required and assist in prosecutions for theft cases.
