Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Security/Asset Protection professional to help keep customers, team members, and vendors safe. The role focuses on preventing theft, examining incidents, and maintaining secure store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include exterior and backroom inspections, surveillance of shoplifting and theft activities, reporting hazards, and supporting investigations. A High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months in security or 1 year of work

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects exterior/parking lot for hazards.
• Conducts backroom and sales floor walking inspections.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up.
• Conducts shoplifting surveillance.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment for operation.
• Reviews alarm system printer for suspicious activity.
• Participates in apprehension of theft violators and assists in prosecution.
• Extensive documentation and report writing.
• Testifies in criminal/civil court proceedings.
• Adheres to safety practices and policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
