Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment at store entrances and throughout the sales floor. You will deter theft, monitor compliance, and partner with store leadership to minimize shrink while delivering strong customer service.

Ideal candidates have high school education, retail supervisory experience, and good communication skills; security training or license is a plus. This role requires standing and walking throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for associates and customers; visible presence at store entrances/exits.
• Collaborates with store leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimize shortage.
• Represents the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Monitors for theft indicators and potential safety issues; communicates findings to leadership.
• Trains and educates associates on shortage reduction initiatives and checkout procedures.
