Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor, deterring theft and maintaining a safe environment for associates and customers.

The role involves partnering with store leadership to ensure Loss Prevention directives are followed, training associates on shortage reduction, and upholding the Ross brand through professional conduct and attire.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Mitigate theft and fraud and maintain a safe environment for Associates and Customers.
• Coordinate with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention to minimize operational shortages.
• Greet Customers and assist with questions in a courteous manner.
• Monitor for safety issues and identify potential theft indicators.
• Represent the Ross brand and maintain professional appearance per dress code.
