Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department fixtures and sanitize store areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met. You will perform sanitation tasks with a sense of urgency and prioritize duties to keep the store safe for customers and partners.

Responsibilities include cleaning, chemical handling, documentation, and cooperation with Store Leaders while supporting customer needs in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience following OSHA Guidelines or similar safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of product handling and food preparation processes.
• Familiarity with sanitation and equipment cleaning procedures.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to work evenings or overnight shifts as needed.
• Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintains department cleanliness and safety with urgency and prioritization.
• Deep cleans and disinfects processing areas and equipment, etc.
• Maintains documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification.
• Uses chemicals and cleaning tools per program and organizes stock.
• Communicates maintenance needs and process improvements to Store Leaders.
• Assists customers and helps locate products when needed.
