Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to uphold cleanliness and safety across store departments. You will maintain fixtures and equipment, perform deep cleaning, and ensure proper chemical handling documentation while working with urgency.

Responsibilities include disinfecting processing areas, maintaining sanitation SOPs, and communicating issues or improvements to Store Leaders. Evening and overnight availability is required.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ with 1+ year in maintenance/sanitation.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safety practices.
• Basic knowledge of product handling and food prep processes.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation equipment and procedures.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work late evenings and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with urgency and prioritization.
• Deep clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment, fixtures, floors, and drains.
• Record chemical handling documentation and sanitation verifications.
• Operate cleaning tools and manage stock in maintenance area.
• Communicate needs and improvement ideas to Store Leaders.
