H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department cleanliness and sanitation across store areas. The role involves deep cleaning, chemical handling, pest control, and ensuring adherence to SOPs while supporting store leaders and customers.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, operating sanitation equipment, and collaborating with teams to uphold food safety and cleanliness standards throughout shifts, including evenings and overnight hours.

Formación

• Age requirement: 18+.
• Work experience: 1+ year in maintenance/sanitation.
• OSHA guidelines knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of product handling and food preparation processes.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation equipment assembly and use.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time-management skills.
• Sacking skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to learn equipment operation from other store departments.
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Team mindset and flexibility for evenings/overnight schedules.
• Ability to identify insects or rodents and place pest traps.
• Customer-service oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Sanitation/Maintenance: maintains department cleanliness and safety with urgency.
• Deep cleans/disinfects processing areas and departments, including equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains.
• Maintains documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification.
• Properly uses chemicals and cleaning tools.
• Uses H-E-B chemical program and organizes stock in maintenance room.
• Applies basic knowledge of product handling and food preparation processes.
• Applies basic knowledge of equipment for sanitation purposes.
• Identifies insects/rodents and uses pest traps.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation standards per SOPs.
• Communicates maintenance needs or solutions to Store Leaders.
