Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department cleanliness and safety across store areas. You will perform sanitation tasks, handle chemicals, and support food-safety standards to protect customers and colleagues.

The role requires at least 1 year in maintenance or sanitation, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication with the ability to work with urgency and teamwork in a busy retail environment. Light evening/overnight shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance/sanitation.
• Knowledge of OSHA Guidelines.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains department cleanliness and safety with urgency and prioritization.
• Deep cleans / disinfects processing areas and departments, including equipment and floors.
• Maintains documentation of chemical handling and sanitation verification.
• Uses cleaning tools and follows the H-E-B chemical program.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs.
• Provides customer assistance and supports store leaders when needed.
