Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to keep all areas clean, safe, and well maintained on the floor, seating, restrooms, and back offices. You will follow SOPs, support teams with cleaning projects, and perform minor repairs while upholding WFM core values.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing 6–8 hours, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Whole Benefits offers a store discount, paid time off, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• No retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Bend, twist, squat and reach regularly.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to use box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent maintenance service.
• Performs all duties on the daily and weekly maintenance lists.
• Supports all teams with cleaning projects.
• Performs minor repairs and improvements.
• Participates in ordering supplies required for store maintenance.
• Helps with cleaning emergencies.
• Keeps store’s landscaping and parking lot maintained.
• Performs continual cleaning of all store departments.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
