Provide excellent customer service to shoppers and donors. Maintain a clean and organized work and shopping environment. Handle transactions accurately.

Essential Functions:

• Present a professional appearance, adhering to the dress code.
• Accurately manage the cash drawer, including opening, closing, and balancing.
• Adhere to Salvation Army money handling procedures.
• Understand and efficiently operate the Point of Sale system; proficiency should be achieved within 3 months of employment.
• Maintain a clean work environment at the cash register and throughout the store, including cleaning, straightening, hanging, and restocking as needed.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor, greet customers, and offer assistance.
• Follow all Salvation Army policies regarding merchandise sales.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and display new merchandise.
• Work towards meeting daily store production goals.
• Be available for a flexible schedule.
