Minimum Qualifications:
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Aptitude for managing people and organizing workloads
- Ability to handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly, leaving a positive impression on associates and customers
- Understanding of key department operations, including managing personnel, merchandising, inventory, shrink control, customer service, labor scheduling, and expense management
Preferred Qualifications:
- A dependable and integrity-driven work history
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices and OSHA compliance
Responsibilities:
- Maintain store UPC files, including price changes, deletions, and new items
- Check in and test scan all vendors
- Maintain weekly ad item scanning files
- Ensure housekeeping in the computer room, including filter checks, cleaning, battery backup checks, and monthly power fail simulations
- Copy PLU files twice weekly
- Maintain documentation for retail accounting
- Test scan the entire store every six to eight weeks
- Maintain Special Report Files (A.C. Nielson, Sami, Special Item Movement Report)
- Promote, communicate, and implement company initiatives and process improvements positively
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
- Work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
