South Central FS, Inc. in Effington, IL is seeking a Convenience Store Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, staff supervision, and profit goals. You will help implement marketing plans, maintain store image, and ensure safe, organized premises.

Qualifications

• Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of retail and/or supervisory/kitchen related work experience to demonstrate the ability to generate profitable sales, build repeat customers, and gain share of market share.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager with training all store staff to ensure excellent customer service and a professional image.
• Motivate, encourage, and challenge store associates.
• Assist with creating and implementing marketing plans to enhance customer count and profitability of the location.
• Implement appropriate promotions, ensuring all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
• Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized. Oversees maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment.
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, correctly priced, and displayed in a safe manner. Maintain quality brand image standards.
