South Central FS, Inc. seeks a Convenience Store Assistant Manager in Effingham, IL to oversee daily store operations, manage staff, and help drive profits and brand standards. You will support training, merchandising, and customer service excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of retail or supervisory experience. The successful candidate will implement marketing plans, monitor inventory, and ensure safety while delivering strong guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• 1 year or more of retail and/or supervisory experience.
• Ability to generate profitable sales and maintain a strong customer base.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager with training all store staff to ensure excellent customer service and a professional image.
• Motivate, encourage, and challenge store associates.
• Assist with creating and implementing marketing plans to enhance customer count and profitability.
• Implement promotions and ensure signage is posted properly.
• Oversee store cleanliness, stocking, organization, and maintenance of building/equipment.
• Monitor pricing, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
• Substitute for store staff as needed.
• Handle price changes and vendor policy adherence.
