Job summary

Dollar Tree in Lawrenceburg, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and support team development. You will assist with cash handling, merchandising, and coordinating tasks with the Store Manager to ensure smooth shifts.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proactive approach to problem solving in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks in a retail setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash deposits
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional interactions
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
