Job summary

Family Dollar in Brimley, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will process corporate directives, maintain fixtures, assist in ordering, protect assets, uphold safety policies, train Store Associates, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and store-related communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
