Job summary

Morris Furniture Company, Inc is seeking a Store Operations Associate to help maintain showroom operations, assist customers, and support visual merchandising. You will verify merchandise, prepare floors, and move items using carts and lifts while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to assemble furniture, and collaboration with multiple teams to keep the showroom organized and inviting for customers.

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious approach to all activities.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel to multiple store locations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate related equipment.
• Team player with flexible shifts.
• Experience assembling furniture and using hand/power tools.
• Experience around powered equipment and warehouse machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow store layout maps and floor plans under supervision.
• Verify merchandise arrival and inventory accuracy with store software.
• Prepare selling floor with Visual Merchandiser guidance before trucks arrive.
• Adjust lighting using a lift or ladder as needed.
• Unbox, assemble, label, and place furniture for display.
• Move merchandise using hand trucks, carts, and dollies.
• Assist customers with pick-up and verify order details.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of store areas.
• Identify safety opportunities and follow PPE requirements.
• Assist with painting and general store maintenance as required.
• Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
