Job summary

Morris Furniture Company, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to support the Merchandising Team in selecting quality goods for showroom display and ensuring accurate item records. You will assist the Buyer with product selection, pricing changes, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities include maintaining vendor lists, producing reports, and managing inventory transfers to optimize product placement and assortment across showrooms. Retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and Excel is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Process and follow-up on pricing changes accurately.
• Maintain accurate vendor lists.
