Morris Furniture Company is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to support the Merchandising Team and Buyer in selecting in-demand goods for our showrooms. You will help manage pricing, product information, and vendor communications to ensure accurate records and timely purchases.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong Excel skills, and the ability to travel to different showrooms to gather essential product details and stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to travel to different company showrooms.
• Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Process and follow-up on all pricing changes with accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor lists.
• Assist in creating a product assortment that meets different price points and customer needs.
• Generate reports related to department meetings as needed.
• Manage inventory transfers to ensure correct product placement and movement.
• Communicate product information and updates to the Marketing and ECommerce departments.
• Stay proactive with market and product trends to adjust the assortment as necessary.
• Gather necessary product information for purchase orders.
• Build strong relationships with store leaders to provide ongoing support for specific requests.
• Develop and distribute sales materials to stores.
• Execute company policies and procedures for vendor purchase orders.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
