Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Beloit, WI. You will aid daily functions, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to floor.

You will help with opening/closing, enforce policies, and assist in payroll, scheduling and inventory while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and shoppers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean: restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
