Job summary

Family Dollar in Plentywood, MT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and supervise associates while maintaining safety and company standards.

You will work with the Store Manager to ensure a high level of customer service, maintain stock levels, and oversee opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer questions from customers.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Handle opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and maintain awareness of store operations.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged goods, and cash handling activities.
• Keep store areas clean, organized, and stocked to company standards.
• Protect company assets including cash and inventory.
• Enforce policies, safety guidelines, and training of associates.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
