Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations at our Pooler, GA location. You will assist with store functions, customer service, merchandising, and team development, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties include opening/closing, directing associates, enforcing policies, and maintaining store standards. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
