Job summary

Dollar Tree in Grovetown, GA, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with merchandise movement, opening/closing procedures, and enforcing company policies.

You will help supervise store associates, maintain a clean and organized environment, and ensure safety and efficiency across departments. A strong focus on service, teamwork, and problem solving is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical tasks (standing, walking, climbing, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and ensure store associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, and general areas.
