Job summary

US Foods CHEF'STORE in Seattle, WA is seeking a Store Manager-on-Duty with strong retail leadership to supervise employees, coach performance, manage schedules, and maintain excellent customer service across registers and front-end areas.

The role requires budgeting awareness, inventory participation, staff training, policy compliance, and achieving sales and shrink targets while maintaining a safe, compliant store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years experience in a retail work environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to use computers and create spreadsheets, plus word processing, email and internet skills.
• Cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach employees at registers and throughout the store.
• Address personnel and performance issues with coaching and warnings.
• Consult with Store Manager and HR on progressive discipline and termination steps.
• Ensure compliance with personnel policies and store procedures.
• Understand the Annual Operating Plan and how it translates to monthly P&L.
• Assist in budgeting and shrinkage control with front-end focus.
• Participate in annual inventory process and inventory guidelines.
• Train front end employees on required programs.
• Provide day-to-day direction including schedules and goals, and manage store outcomes as Manager-on-Duty.
• Plan in-store demonstrations and merchandising per program.
• Oversee receiving, returns, restocking, and merchandising programs.
• Communicate merchandising and marketing programs and report follow-ups.
