Job summary

Walmart in Cottage Grove, MN seeks a capable retail leader to guide and develop a team, drive store performance, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will hire, train, mentor hourly associates, implement business solutions, and uphold Walmart values of integrity and belonging.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and community engagement while managing budgets and merchandising to reach sales goals.

Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Leadership preferred (Live Better U)
Associates will be required to attend trainings and assessments (Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and listening to associates.
Drive store financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
Ensure customer service excellence and resolve customer issues using OBW and Open Door policies.
Coordinate plans with stakeholders; communicate goals and drive change initiatives.
Oversee inventory, merchandising, seasonal transitions, and shrink mitigation.
Hire, train, mentor hourly associates and promote a culture of belonging.
