Job summary

Safeway seeks a Third Person in Charge to oversee total store operations when the Store Director and Assistant Store Director are not present. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating hiring and interviews, and ensuring high standards in merchandising and customer service across shifts.

Duty includes training new employees, directing late-shift activities, and executing company merchandising policies, while maintaining strong customer relations and safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Four+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Proven supervisory and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Run total store operations in the absence of Store Director and ASD.
• Assist with hiring and interviewing processes when needed.
• Oversee late shift operations and training of personnel.
• Ensure merchandising, pricing, stocking and customer service standards are maintained.
• Lead communications between store leadership and late shift staff.
