Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Second Assistant Store Director to oversee daily store operations and lead the Grocery Department. You will collaborate with Store Director and Assistant Store Director to achieve profitable store performance, coach teams, and implement sales strategies.

Responsibilities include managing operations in the absence of senior leaders, ensuring quality customer service, forecasting needs, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a progressive retail operations role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse team and management.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to running a store, including employment and labor laws.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• Proficient computer skills and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total store operations in absence of Store Director and Assistant Store Director.
• Train and develop Team Members, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Forecast needs and place orders for Grocery department.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and verify product quality and freshness.
• Schedule and manage staffing levels across departments.
• Enforce safety, sanitation, pricing, and merchandise standards.
• Lead by example to drive sales and achieve store goals.
