Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Oakland, CA is seeking an Assistant Center Store Manager for Food Maxx at 3000 East 9th Street. The role oversees front-end operations and night crew in the absence of Store Manager, directing the Center Store team across multiple areas to meet customer needs.

You will train staff, manage productivity, uphold price integrity, shrink controls, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• One year of college or equivalent knowledge required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Willing to rotate across frontline areas (Front-End, Night Crew, Frozen/Dairy/Deli, Evening).

Responsibilities

• Oversees Front-End staff and scheduling for productivity and customer service.
• Oversees Night Crew operations and shrink controls.
• Oversees Frozen/Dairy/Deli and Evening merchandising and stock conditions.
• Promotes a culture aligned with Food Maxx's mission and training.
• Ensures price integrity, sanitation, and store cleanliness.
