Job summary

Meijer Findlay is seeking an experienced Store Director to lead overall store operations across food and general merchandise. You will direct staffing, merchandising, customer service, and Profit & Loss management while upholding Meijer's values and commitment to community.

Lead planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps; develop talent; ensure open communication and a superior shopping experience for customers and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• A passion to lead those in span of care while providing industry leading service.
• Strong merchandising and business acumen to drive sales and market share.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for team members and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Overall operations responsibility across food and general merchandise areas.
• Management of planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Engage team members and leadership to deliver the best possible shopping experience.
• Develop talent and recruit to meet forecasted staffing needs.
• Uphold cultural standards and values through clear communication.
• Assess financial results and implement strategies to drive profitability.
• Ensure customer needs are met and complaints are resolved efficiently.
• Lead daily store operations in the Store Director's absence.
• Drive initiatives identified by store operations and stay aware of market trends.
