Job summary

Family Dollar in Farwell, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help organize merchandise, and ensure store standards are met.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, participate in opening and closing duties, process shipments, and maintain safety and cleanliness. Strong communication and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives related to store activities and maintain store displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cashier deposits.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
