Job summary

Family Dollar in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking a Part-time Retail Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help customers locate merchandise, and process sales at the POS. You’ll also assist the Store Manager with daily operations and maintain inventory and store appearance.

This role requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with lifting up to 40 lbs; previous retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to operate the POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a friendly manner; help with merchandise selection and locating products.
• Provide efficient sales transactions and accurate cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked store environment and assist with inventory and deliveries.
• Support the Store Manager with daily activities and store operations, including opening/closing duties when needed.
