Job summary

Circle K in Monteagle, Tennessee seeks an experienced site manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, ensure clean, well-stocked stores, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain company standards across safety, pricing, and merchandising.

The role emphasizes recruiting, training, scheduling, financial oversight including daily sales analysis and expense control, coordinating with suppliers, and communicating with the Market Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described.
• Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in CSR/ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in CSR/ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to use computer and analyze reports, inventory and cash controls.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to/from meetings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked, organized and well kept to Company standards.
• Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisor.
• Schedule employees to maximize customer service and site image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separation decisions.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and ensure timely, professional customer service and problem resolution.
• Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
• Prepare performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Train staff on customer service, site image and marketing execution, and safety procedures.
• Establish timely communication with all site employees and the Market Manager.
• Organize and maintain site files and manuals; ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage merchandise display and pricing; ensure posters and signs are accessible.
