Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Full-Time Store Supervisor to lead daily operations when store leadership is unavailable. You will manage front-end and production activities, monitor team progress to goals, and ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include assisting with onboarding, meetings and appraisals, gathering feedback, and using reports to spot trends. A background check is required, and evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• 1 Year experience in a leadership role preferred.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Run store operations in the absence of the store and assistant manager, including front end and production areas.
• Monitor progress of associates toward goals, including production and Round Up.
• Participate in production as needed to reach store goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising standards; model excellent customer service.
• Promote Goodwill’s customer service standards both internally and externally.
• Assist store management with onboarding, monthly meetings, check-ins and appraisals.
• Solicit customer and associate feedback and act on it.
• Use daily sales, production and Round Up reports to identify trends and measure activity.
• Submit closing and safety reports in ROM/RAM absence and ensure timely Kronos documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors and management about problems in store operations and personnel.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, processes, and people development; act on them.
• Fully participate in meetings and learning opportunities.
