Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support everyday store operations, customer service, and team development in Utah.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks, organizing merchandise, and maintaining clean, safe, and well-stocked areas while ensuring promotional displays meet company standards. You will help train and supervise store associates, handle opening/closing procedures, and respond to customer inquiries with a positive, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers positively and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise within the store as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain storefront displays and overall promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines; train and supervise store associates.
• Create a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
