Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. in Brownsville, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. The role reports to the Store Manager and carries hourly compensation.

You will help with scheduling, training, and supervising staff, ensuring store policies are followed, and promoting merchandise. In the absence of the Store Manager you assume responsibility and provide leadership during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear, and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Maintain outstanding customer service and promote merchandise.
• Protect assets and ensure internal controls.
