Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandising, and leadership of Store Associates to maintain a clean, friendly and efficient store.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven track record in retail management or supervision, delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Able to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain attractive fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, returns, loss prevention, payroll and scheduling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per policies.
• Secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies by all staff.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
