Job summary

Food Lion in Summerville, SC is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales and ensure exceptional customer service. You will supervise associates, manage budgets, and uphold Food Lion's safety, quality and customer experience standards.

This role requires college degree or equivalent, department manager experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work across departments.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to meet physical requirements and age minimum.
• Must be accredited as Food Safety Manager or obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect guiding principles and strategy.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy service.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Use company tools such as ACIS, CAO, and reporting systems for scheduling and inventory.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is absent.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Lead by example in customer service and adherence to standard practices.
