Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily activities, assist customers, and ensure the store meets company standards for safety and appearance.

The role involves merchandising, payroll and scheduling support, and enforcing policies while maintaining a positive, respectful environment for associates and customers. This is a full-time on-site position in Spartanburg.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and supervise Store Associates as needed.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
